Job Description

 


 

Our client designs, develops and supports world class telecommunications networking products and services to communications services providers who in turn have the ability to deliver wireline and wireless voice, data and video services to it\s customers.


 

Sr. TSE (Sr. Technical support engineer) – Brazil


 

The successful candidate will handle technical service related issues in support of Tellabs Data product (8800, 8600, 7300, etc).


 

Responsibilities:

 

- monitor incoming calls;

- login to customer’s network to assist with troubleshooting;

- perform hardware and/or software upgrades and expansions;

- simulate and replicate problems in the lab;

- collect logs from trouble system for the purpose of escalation to engineering;

- when required, travel to customer location to execute troubleshooting on site;

- participate in writing Method of Procedures (MOPS), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Knowledge Management solutions (KM);

- Eventually, executes equipment and project installations at our client's customers, performs system initialization and/or acceptance testing in accordance to our client's procedures

Experience must include: post-sale customer support; routing protocols; network architectures; transmission infrastructures; OSPF, TCP/IP, Linux, Unix, making technical presentations; providing end customer training.

Projects often require working different shifts, extended shifts, and responding to pager requests 7 days a week, 24 hours. Travel to an out-of-town job site may be required as much as 20%.


 

Requirements:


 

-Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or Telecommunications

More than 5 years of Industry expertise with at least one major vendor of networking equipment that support services similar to the products of our client. Has had extensive customer relationship experience and demonstrates excellent customer services skills through issue resolution and proposed solutions. Recognized as a IP subject matter expert in a product area and provides technical ownership familiarity with BGP4, OSPF, Integrated IS-IS, Ethernet, PPP, SONET/SDH, WDM, Frame Relay, ATM and MPLS.

Cisco CCNP / CCIE or Juniper JNCIS certification desired

Fluent on English and Portuguese. Spanish conversation will be considered a plus
