Lead TSE (Technical support Engineer) – Based in Brazil – Data Professional (technology focus)


 

Our client seeks Technical Support Engineer for Brazil office. Will handle technical service related issues in support of our client's Data product (8800, 8600, 7300, etc).


 

Responsibilities:

- monitor incoming calls;

- login to customer’s network to assist with troubleshooting;

- perform hardware and/or software upgrades and expansions;

- simulate and replicate problems in the lab;

- collect logs from trouble system for the purpose of escalation to engineering;

- when required, travel to customer location to execute troubleshooting on site;

- participate in writing Method of Procedures (MOPS), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Knowledge Management solutions (KM);

-Eventually, executes equipment and project installations at our client's customers, performs system initialization and/or acceptance testing in accordance to our client's procedures


 


 

Requirements:


 

Experience must include: post-sale customer support; routing protocols; network architectures; transmission infrastructures; OSPF, TCP/IP, Linux, Unix, making technical presentations; providing end customer training.

Projects often require working different shifts, extended shifts, and responding to pager requests 7 days a week, 24 hours. Travel to an out-of-town job site may be required as much as 20%.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or Telecommunications

More than 7 years of Industry expertise with at least one major vendor of networking equipment that support services similar to the products of our client. Has had extensive customer relationship experience and demonstrates excellent customer services skills through issue resolution and proposed solutions. Recognized as a IP subject matter expert in a product area and provides technical ownership familiarity with BGP4, OSPF, Integrated IS-IS, Ethernet, PPP, SONET/SDH, WDM, Frame Relay, ATM and MPLS.

- Cisco CCNP / CCIE or Juniper JNCIS certification desired

The Senior Professional Services Engineer will work with the sales staff, other delivery personnel, partners, and sub-contractors to successfully scope and deliver customer solutions.

Main Responsibilities:

Key activities performed by the Senior Professional Services Engineer will include:

Primary responsibilities of the Senior Professional Services Engineer are:


 Provide Professional services for Customer's Policy Management (PCRF), Subscriber Data Management (SDM), and Diameter Signaling Router (DSR) Solutions.

Services provided include initial system implementation design and architect, network integration, system provisioning, capacity analysis, special feature implementation, Test Plan creation and execution and other services as specified by the support contract and statement of work (SOW).

Service delivery activities include on-site and remote implementation of new systems, technical discussions, and explanations of proposed solutions with customers, development of methods of procedure and other documentation as required by the customer.

Work with customers to ensure technical compatibility with third party products required for "turnkey" Solution implementations.

Create, maintain, and execute detailed Methods of Procedures (MOP’s), Completion Notices (CN’s), project plans, and schedules of activities and deliverables.

Design and Creation of use cases, call flows, policy rules, routing rules, and database query logic/scripts based on customer’s Business and Service Use Cases.

Support Pre-Sales activities such as demonstrations, trials, and Solution scope definition.

Participate in the design, delivery, and administration of a Mentorship program for Professional Services personnel and Partners.

Assist project managers with project planning and scheduling.


Job Requirements
