Responsibilities

*Performs mining, drilling and/or consulting Engineering is a critical asset
*Demonstrates good communication skill/translation could be welcomed
*Willingness to travel
*The ability to document and track projects task and related design documentation
*Knowledge of process piping, Drilling, Material Handling, Electrical/Mechanical Power Transmission
*Underground and Surface Pumping, Backfill Systems, Crusher and Foundation and HVAC.
*Experience in Communications with other design disciplines and understands the impact of their design on other design discipline
*Strong computer oriented skills including familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Office, Numerical Method solutions, etc.
Degree/Qualification/certificates in Engineer / Technician / Manager/ Operator/Administrator with a minimum of five to ten years working and or in administrative experience
*Registration with Professional Bodies could be an added advantage

Conduct performance development work in developing technologies for meeting Final Tier 4 emission standards. Planning and coordinating testing activities with supervisors and technicians, Working with lead engineers in planning, executing and analyzing data. Familiarity with off road emission regulations and technologies. Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrated capabilities of problem solving. Manages and facilitates through product definition, development and implementation of process improvements. Provides knowledge of business processes, facilitates the definition and clarification of documentation in support of tactical and strategic business plans for achieving continuous improvement. Leads project teams towards definition and implementation of new process/solution. Exhibits strong organizational, communication and document skills. Ensures process metrics and target performance levels are identified, implemented and monitored .

Requirements: Mechanical or electrical engineering degree required. Knowledge of diesel engine combustion and performance, 2- 3 years experience in engine performance development, Strong technical aptitude in resolving technical issues, Ability to work independently to complete projects. M-F first shift position. Business casual dress code.

Responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing new fiber distribution and fiber connectivity solutions to support Client fiber business growth.  Working within a stage-gate project management environment the product development engineer typically performs the following activities:  product concept generation, engineering calculations, cost reductions, quality improvements, complaint investigations, CAD model development, tolerance studies, product performance testing, authoring technical documentation, control drawing creation, maintaining accurate project records, project schedule generation, and project management.
Required:

 



BSME with 3+ years of new product development experience.

Plastic part and sheet metal design experience preferred.

Fiber optic connectivity solution design experience is a plus, but is not required.

Excellent 3D CAD solid modeling skills. 

Strong creativity and problem solving skills.

Excellent project planning and project management skills with a proven ability to consistently meet project milestone target dates.

Must be able to effectively apply engineering principles and perform engineering calculations.

Experience performing tolerance analysis studies and creating engineering control drawings

Collaborate with cross-functional groups (Product Management, Manufacturing, and Quality, suppliers) to resolve product-related customer and production issues.

Organize and maintain accurate project records.

Ability to use computer software such as MS Word, Excel, and MS Project.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Team oriented.
